James Snyder is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager and the head of mortgage trading at Deerfield Capital. Prior to joining Deerfield in 2004, Mr. Snyder was a Managing Director and head bond trader of Spyglass Capital & Trading Co., an investment adviser that managed a mortgage-based hedge fund. Prior to joining Spyglass, he was a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for American Express Financial Advisors, Inc., where he headed the mortgage sector group and managed the IDS Federal Income Fund and several other government-oriented bond funds. Jim began his career at Harris Bank and Trust Co. as a quantitative analyst and has extensive experience in quantitative modeling and analysis. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and an M.A. and B.S. from DePaul University.

Eric Muehlhauser, Portfolio Manager

Eric Muehlhauser is a Portfolio Manager for Deerfield's Mortgage Trading team. Prior to joining Deerfield in February 2006, he worked at Goldman Sachs as a whole loan and mortgage-backed securities trader. From 1997 to 2001 he served as an officer in the United States Navy. Eric holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
